| PREPARING FOR YOUR PHOTO SESSION
Drink lots of water; dehydration will affect the look of your skin.
Get a good night sleep the night before the headshot session. If you feel tired, it will show in the pictures.
Avoid using alcohol the night before.
Hair should be cut, colored, and styled to your liking. Please bring your own styling products, comb, or brush. The condition of your hair have a large effect on your photos
If you decide to do your own makeup, please make sure you bring powder to reduce glare from oily skin. (This includes men)
Avoid wearing jewelry.
Women should avoid wearing strapless tops. Also avoid tank tops and spaghetti strap tops and dresses. (It tends to make you look like your not wearing a top.)
If you wear glasses: please remove the lenses to prevent glare. Sometimes this is not necessary, depending on lighting.
It is best to not bring friends during the digital headshot session, as they can be a distraction. We leave this choice up to you.
If you would like to, you can bring your favorite music to listen to during the session.
Bring 24 changes of clothes: Solid colors (black, dark blue, gray, or pastel colors; white works for some people. Please do not wear clothes that will take the focus from your face. Wear something you will be comfortable in and that is darker or lighter then your skin tone, which will create contrast and better frame your face. Be aware that when converted to black and white, the color will turn a shade of gray. Bring a variety of necklines; Vnecks tend to be a good choice for women. .
If possible, bring your current headshot and samples of headshots that you like.
Your headshots should capture the personality you want to present to the viewer.
